GramophoneI recently spent a pleasant afternoon at a small show organised by the Cornwall Vintage Tractor club. As you might expect it was mainly tractors, but one item in the model tent was a real gem. A Meccano gramophone.
And yes, it did really play that 78

That is the most unusual Meccano model I have seen for a long while.

Yes, as far I could tell - apart from the motor which runs off a model train controller.

Yes it really did play the record. However, the gent. did admit he was having trouble getting the speed constant. The sound box is made from a disk of very thin perspex.
