I had a great time today, although the £17 train fare was a bit of a downer!
It was great to meet Will, Andy, Mike, Paul and Chris once again. I met Jay for the first time, and in all honesty you could not wish to meet a nicer chap
I've got lots of pics, of both the railway and inside the club room. I'll be splitting them up into two topics in this board once they have uploaded.
I had a couple of problems today with my engines.
When the Cyldon was running, the flames were flashing back out of the firebox and eventually set the vapors escaping from the vent hole alight So to play it safe I put that to bed.
Worse to come was when I steamed up my Mersey for it's annual steaming. All was going well until whit smoke started appearing from the front of the firebox. The paint had started to burn! So she was extinguished to. There was only crazing along the bend at the bottom of the firebox, and some serious crazing on the burner so Mr. Laker will be receiving a stern email soon So I'm on the hunt for some satin VHT paint.

The flame trouble with the Cyldon was similar to my 13/2, the vent hole exuding a thin flame at one point!
