Its all taking shape at GMES ready for the weekend, the SMSEG display is set up in the marquee and I've just cleaned a few Mamod stationary engines ready to put out on the stand tomorrow morning.

Looking forward to seeing some of you there - lets hope it does not rain too much!

Just got back from a most enjoyable day with the kids. I forgot my camera Crying or Very sad  so no pics.

Lots of ME stuff to see, the IC engine stand was incredible.

I've just got back and, despite the weather, I had a great time.

My search for good quality BA taps was fruitless, but I suspect I shall just buy a set rather than individual taps.

I took a small selection of pics, but I hope you like them.

A very nice line up of locos, from L to R: Scratchbuilt Alco 'Mountaineer', scratchbuilt undertype loco, scratchbuilt (?) loco, Merlin 0-6-0 and a Roundhouse Bertie.

A very nice Isle of Man coach, made from two Accucraft IoM 4 wheeled coaches.

What I think should have won, a very nice part built 5" gauge Gresley N2. Even though not finished she looks beautiful, with standards to match.

Another winner for me, a South African Railways 2-8-4 (I think!)

One of the new Accucraft Welshpool & Llanfair Beyer Peacocks was running on the portable track.

A close up of the Mountaineer, this engine won 'Model of the Year' at the 16mm Association's annual show.

Another fine exhibit, a 5" gauge 'Cock O'The North'.

Andy or Mike can correct me on some of the captions I'm sure...
