Fred Dibnah's workshop

It is with great reluctance that I have to get rid of my Fred Dibnah’s workshop set up, the reason being is that I have just completely run out of space in my  steam room.

As you can see on the video it requires 2 engines to run, one at either end and please note that a couple of the little men are now missing as they are now on my fairground workshop.

It has taken me many hours to build this with no expense spared  and always goes down well when I have had it on display at shows etc.

The fact that is delicate I am reluctant to post it so I would rather it be collected, I thought I would offer it on the forum first, if there is no interest after 1 week I will strip it down and sell the parts separately on flea-bay.

I would be interested in swapping for unusual engines with cash difference either way so please pm me your offers.

Although I would rather it be collected I suppose I could pack it carefully and post at costs but I don’t think it would be cheap as I would more than likely have to pack in 2 boxes.

Sorry to hear you're parting with this Jay, but sometimes you have to make room for some new project(s)!

I really appreciate the fact that you're offering it here first, but I'm sorry to say 'I'm out' - let's hope that one of our number snaps it up.

Mounting

What is the material you have the models screwed down onto?Is it wood with a plastic granite veneer or are they slabs of granite? It's hard to tell? To use a cheapo granite chopping slab wouldnt be difficult, but what you have use looks like it is a granite slab.Just interested, would like to know,Thanks,Stewart.
