Looks good, but can you post some bigger pics? Please use photobucket (or similar) as your photos take us to myspace and we need a sign in name to view them.

Yes, please use Photobucket or the forum's own uploader so we can see the pictures more clearly!

Looks a nice refurb Chad - do you have the chimney for it (they so often go missing)?

I've got a similar Fleischmann...

(The lacy cloth isn't mine - these are the photos off the auction site!)

A slightly better photo...

It's a model 120/4 and it's now received a replacement piston!

That will be a nice engine when you finish your refurb Chad  Very Happy

This is my Fleischmann, looks like we have the same one Steve but different colours  Shocked

And practically mint - why am I not suprised? I'll bet you've got the box too.   Laughing

Very Happy  Unfortunatly I dont have the box  Confused

I think we both have the model 120/4 Steve
I think yours is Circa 1951 and mine 1963  Very Happy

Wot - no box!

I understand that the 'smokey' paint effect on the base indicates the earlier make. My engine's changed a little since the pictures were taken as I bought it to proide parts for another Fleisch I was restoring! However I've found other bits so it still works!

OK - I had the same problem! I'll get a photo of mine with a Wilesco chimney - you can see what you think about it's looks and get one if you want.

Photo later - watch this space!

Hello again Chad.

Right, your engine is a model 120. Click this link to the relevant page of the Fleischmann archive:

http://www.ca-si.net/fleischmann/...fmaschinen/Ubersicht/120/120.html

As promised, here's some photos of my 120/4 with it's Wilesco chimney...

This is my 125/2 which now has the 120's s/v and whistle...

...and finally, this is what you get when you build these things soon after the war (WW2) and you can't get decent materials!

That's the 120 again - metal fatigue in the flyweel. (The piston's a replacement by the way.)

So I'm looking for a new flywheel and a whistle - if you hear of any, please let me know!

my flywheel has the same problem Confused
i only have the fleischmann and the wilesco and on the fleischmann im looking for an end cap Confused
ill help you
could you help me?
silverfoxsteam

I'd love to help if I knew how!

For suggestions on the endcap, try this recent thread:

http://freesteammamod.myfreeforum.org/about3275.html

As for the flywheel, there may be a current Wilesco product available but I'm not sure. We need to establish the overall diameter and shaft size first, then start digging! A good source of Wilesco is:

Good luck!
steamykid

thanks! im gonna need it Very Happy

Chad - the size of the fatigued flywheel on my 120 is 72mm (2 7/8") diameter and the crankshaft is 4mm (1/8").

Can you measure the flywheel and crankshaft of your D10, because I think they may be similar. If so we can replace the old Fleisch parts with new Wilesco bits!

Thanks for your help.

same mesurmensts Very Happy  but the flywheel on my 120 is only 2 1/8"
