FITTING NEW WICKSToday I have started updating my wick burner engines, the M122, M135 and SE4 all received some new 'MF Super wick'. As you can see from the images the M135 had a pretty shot wick! The smaller size is ideal for Bowman tube type burners and the larger size ideal for Mamod type wick burners . . .
I found that putting a small amout of sticky tape around the base before inserting into the burner tubes make the whole process easier . . .
The SE4 needs a few trims, a full appraisal will follow soon!
Pretty knackered! A small screw driver or similar is ideal for 'picking out' the old wick, care is needed as the tubes on Bowmans can be very fragile.
