I hope so, they still need to raise £3,000,000 to get all the rubbish out. Hopefully the press coverage will get a few more £'s in but who knows in these tough times.
Network rail are being very supportive, they want to build a joint station and are going to lay a connection to network metals!
Main line specials to Sheffield park, now there is a thought.

Get yourself down there, its good any time but on one of their Gala Days its fantastic. Steam departures every 1/2 hour from Sheffield Park, Horstead Keynes is worth a look at too, I think its the only operational 5 platform station in preservation

Horsted Keynes is my favourite preserved station, with subways and a very nice cafe/bistro.
One day soon, you might be able to once again get a train from East Grinstead, change at Horsted Keynes and go to Haywards Heath

Rumor has it that Network Rail want that connection to be reinstated. It would help greatly with their rolling stock movements. The railway has purchased all the track bed and even have a bridge to fill the one and only gap.

It could also result in some income if Network Rail ocasionally wish to move over the Bluebell tracks .
