El Salvador

I've just recieved a email from a guy in El Salvador
Asking if I can provide him with the instuctions for the MM1
I think they where printed on the back of the boxes
Does anyone have a scan of the instructions I can send him
I'll of course point him in the direction of the forum.

Ill try to remember to take a pic tonight . . .

Here's a couple of variations to be going along with Very Happy

First the operating instructions to the MM1 with single wick burner

and some general hints for the same model:

Sorry, box has seen better days - the first paragraph reads:

Quote:
1. The asbestos lamp wicks should be kept trimmed and in good order, so that the wicks are level and approximately 1/4" above the top of the burner. If the flame is too small when the lamp has been filled, the wicks are either charred or too low and the engine will run slowly or stop frequently. Keep the wicks clean and replace them when too short.
I know it refers to wicks in the plural, yet the MM1 had a single wick burner, but that's what it says.

Finally, the operating instructions for the vapourising lamp and overflow plug variant

Sorry I don't have any instructions for the new fangled solid fuel and/or sight glass variants.

Hi Jose

Please feel free to join the Mamod forum, you will be made most welcome
Thx Mike

Jose's return email

Mike:

Thanks a lot for the instructions, they're perfect !

I´m a little bit tied up with work at the moment, but as soon as I have some spare time I'll continue with the Mamod. I think that the fellows with the remote-control airplanes might have some gaskets like the ones I need.

Regards,

José
