Cyldon 13/3

Since getting this engine from Ian, I have only run it the once and it has been sitting around not doing very much.

I was at a loose end today, so I thought I'd start cleaning/polishing it. I didn't want to make it so shiny that I had to break out a pair of sunglasses, so I worked in the brasso then took it off again with a polishing pad on my Dremel. Then when it was all polished up, I went over it with a cotton mop.

The burner was first.

They are super engines Mike.  Now what I need is a Wormar ... or a Wilson ... or more Merseys ... or .... Laughing

Attentions turned to the engine itself today.

As the Aluminium is so rough, I couldn't get such a nice finish on it. Although there is a bit of a shine there...

They do come up at regular intervals, Mike. So I'm sure you will be able to find one during the course of the year Wink

It might make an appearance at the April meet, depending on how much I can carry Laughing
