Most of my steam stuff has been confined to the attic for a few months whilst the living/dining room are re-plasterd & decorated.
Not sure how this one escaped the tyding by SWMBO, but a sunny morning here in Devon wasn't to be wasted without the smell of burning meths in the air.

Ohhh now that is nice, pure quality Mike

That is super Mike, runs a treat. I recall there were some problems with it at Exeter last October, glad you got it sorted.

These are interesting engines

The crank pins in the middle had worked loose when i tried to run it at Matford.
I thought i was going to have to solder them, but loctite seems to have done an adquate job (not permanent though),
without needing to get the gas torch out
This one still mesmerises me when watching the semi-rotative mechanism at slow RPM.
Since seeing mikes superb boxed example the other day, steaming this one has been a must

I have finally nailed one of these, after losing out on many Cyldons just recently, three come along all at once... a 13/1, 13/2 and a 13/3 - I lost out on the 13/1 and 3 but somehow managed to get the 13/2 - which I think is the technically more interesting engine, but my bd won by 50p and stayed at that margin for the last 1 hour of bidding . . . . strange I though it would have got the highest bid bar far as well as last minute sniping, the other two Cyldons went to the same buyer, as we ll as a very nice Wilson (which I list out on by £4). Final price was 103. ANyway I have finally got an example of one of these fascinating engine in the collection.
Personally I blame John Chapman!

Moi?
Seriously, Cyldons are super engines.

Indeed!
I agree John, one has eluded me for too long, basically it was a toss up between the Wilson or the 13/2....
