Cleaning inside of boilerI just bought my first steam engine (a Mamod se2a), and I want to clean it up a bit...
How do I clean it inside the boiler?

I suppose the easiest way would be to use some descaler

Welcome Hans, does the boiler need to be clean?
Vinegar can soften deposits if necessary.

I dont know if it has to be cleaned, but i tought it would be a god idea to clean it inside just in case of any deposits inside the boiler an pipes..

Hans, fill the boiler half full with normal vinegar, shake it about (with safety valve and overflow plug in!). Let it soak for a few hours, then empty the contents. Do you have any images of the engine?
