Chris's Tilford Purchase

Well it has been a while since I have bought an engine and my wife did say I could buy something little.  So I bought something little!

Ian kindly included a length of wick with the purchase (which was asking for trouble when I was in a steaming mood), so it didn't take much persuading from Paul to get me to run it...

It is a great runner, really very smooth, and very well made.  If like me you have delayed buying one then I think you should part with your money.

It was a great show, really enjoyed myself.  I will post up more pics from the show tomorrow.

Good shots Chris, so far mine (004) has not been steamed. I agree though they are superb replicas.

I should have added that this is no 33.

I think you could have quite a debate about whether to run them, but it can soon be cleaned back up and the fun for me is in running engines, and these do look great when they are running.

There was no pressure from anyone else to steam it at all *looks inocently...*

Especially none from ne one to connect it to any tools or an SP workshop.....

hehe

Great buy!

A wise investment Chris.

Now, can you beat my record of 'Most run MF Twin'  Laughing

You are right, they can easily be brought back to their original clean condition. But you know me, I prefer 'em dirty (ahem)

I didn't run it... for at least 10 minutes... and you did include that length of wick in the box with it... and Paul and Will were very persuasive, and I nearly convinced Jay to buy one too and...

Embarassed

The only reason Paul gets other people to steam their MFTwin is so that he doesn't have to steam his!
