Funnily enough I was just about to post that link.
Maunsell has to be my favourite CME of the Southern, as his engines were excellent as were the coaches he designed too. |

Don't get me wrong, I do like the West Country's/BoB's etc. but I prefer the work of Maunsell more

I rather like the S15's and the Schools, fabulous looking engines. I missed Repton down at the Mid Hants  and Stowe needs a new firebox inner.
Bulleid had a big hand in the A4's he was at one point Gresley's right hand made until he left for the Southern to build Mixed Traffic engines during the war. I wonder how he got away with calling a fully streamline pacific with innovative ideas a mixed traffic loco? You dont see many pictures of Merchants on milk trains do you.

Or Kings . . . like the A4s and Merchants they never were taken off their main duties in top liink passenger services. | ||
