Bowman-Luton Snipe....need your opinionGuys and girls, I need your opinions. I'm starting to decide on a strategy on restoring my Bowman-Luton Snipe, and I'd like your opinions on repainting or not please.....as you can see there is a fair bit of damage to the paint. The red waterline is a repaint, so that's a no-brainer, but I'm just not sure about the rest. My gut instinct says this boat's already been repainted at least once, but I'm not 100% sure..... what do you think I should do?

That needs to brought back to its former glory, the paint is cracking and if you suspect a previous repaint then redoing it properly is the course of action in my opinion - its what I would do!

If it is non-original paintwork, then repaint it. If it is original, just touch in the parts where the wood is exposed. As the wood may start to rot if the water soaks into it...

It's a great boat whatever you decide, but I think I'd be inclined to go for a repaint. It would look super in full "parade dress".

Well, I'm going to wait for the polls on both forums to run their course, but I think that pretty much clinches it....call me weird, but I prefer to do something like this with the blessing of the previous owner, so I think Mike's going to be the deciding vote here....although it looks pretty unanimous anyway.
The paint's been purchased already......
