Bowman FansPicked this up and thought some of the menbers would find it of interest
"Have just heard that Max Bowman Jenkins - one of the two sons of the founder of Bowman, Geoffrey Bowman Jenkins - has just died after a wretched decline from a stroke in January. The funeral is a week on Tuesday in Norwich. If
anyone would like more details pl keep in touch privately.
We met him a few years ago at his home near Happisburgh in Norfolk, to discuss the relationship between FH and his father and whether or not a Bowman engine would outperform a 4 volt nickel Meccano motor! It was a day
of high good humour and chaff and I shall miss him"

On a related note: Bowman News, the magazine of the Bowman Circle is being wound up after issue 50 (two issues away). After that it will continue as a joint publication with STEAM, which will be called "toy Steam News". Paul Bowman Jenkins and Steve Malins will be joint presidents.
