I've had this for awhile now, but finally got around to firing it up. This was won on ebay from Mike Cooke (CaravanUK). It was my 1st steam loco and I am very happy, because it's the hardest of the 4 Bowman locos to find. I also now have a 234 and hope to get the other Bowmans soon.
Anyway, here it is:

I hope to lay some track tonight and if it runs as well as it just did, I should have a video for you guys!

Thats great Nick! The 410 is hard to get hold of, I have seen very crisp examples with boxes going for in excess of £300. Love the little piston set up, looks like its straight from an M175 or M180, the smallest engine I believe they made. Love it and lovely to see one actually running, athough I doubt it has great pulling power with that cylinder and drive set up.

Look forward it on tracks, any chance of some pics of the underside?
Nick
I was able to get this one for £250. It doesn't have too much power, but it does have enough to make a couple laps around the track. After running it, I decided to run my 234 for the first time as well, so I have made a 3 1/2 minute video that is currently uploading.

I did take a picture of the underside (it's also in my youtube video) but photobucket has froze up on me, so I'll post the picture when it's working again.
Great videos Nick, the Great western really flies around the track

Love the vida, the 234 really flies once steam pressure is up! I doubt weather the 410 would pull much, both excellent engines though and tremendous fun.

Thanks Nick, that quite a reduction, although it might go even better with a bigger contract gear. Its a very small cylinder, by the looks of it it right off an M175/180. Does well considering though - Bowman engineering!
