AND FOR MY NEXT PROJECT...My Mamod SL1 i bought of someone on the other forums for the princely sum of £60 including regulator, uprated safety valve, water top up valve, spare boiler, cylinder covers and a few other things came through the post
I intend to rebuild it so it has working drain-cocks (working off the exhaust with a diverter valve, a working whistle, a water pump in the tender that fills the boiler in steam, a meths tank that keeps the burner topped up, a lot of extra detailing.
Unfortunatley i wont be starting for a while off on holiday next week and have a few more little projects to finish but shall keep you posted on it
Ill get some pics up later, got to find the dam camera

Aye thats true
Shall do it in 4 stages
1. Get it working as standard
2. Rebuild but not detail it
3. Take it apart paint it nicely and detail it
4. Steam the hell out of it till it needs repainting

It's an SEL (Signalling Equipment Limited) Major and it's rather a nice example. British made somewhere between 1946 and 1965. Lots of info on Mooseman's site - http://www.freewebs.com/odilon/selsteamengines.htm
