A new launch coming in the mail..

I finally found a full size launch on ebay, IN the US.....This is an accomplishment as the last two that I have won from the UK- the willing sellers balked at shipping it to me..

So here is what I have coming- caution she needs some tidying up, real windows in the salon / cabin and I may swap out the power plant for another I have.

Any feedback is appreciated. It has a decal on the stern that says it was made by the "Model Shipwrights- London" any info on this group getas a thank you also!!

Blue is not my favorite color... the inside of the hull will get finished out in wood..

The blue in the windows is just paper inserted to hide views of the R/C components... room for more creativity..

And the makers (?)  decal...Hmmm?? Or maybe it was just owned by a member

The hull looks like an Krick Alexandra -- somewhat... I think- but the salon rood is not raised in the center..SHe is about 42" long  8"Wide
Anyway - thanks Gents

A fine looking model, by the looks of it never steamed!Im sure it will find its sea legs soon. Gas fired I would assume?

Thats a lovely boat, I think your on the right lines
When you say its similer to a Krick Alexandra or perhaps a Victoria
Either way its a very nice boat  Smile

Yes Mike -Gas fired... once again with a boiler that is brass.. which could lead some doubt on longevity with a gas burner...That is why I am supposing I will swap them out...

It is hard to find these over on this side of the pond...the steam boating culture did not get established like in England..so the electrics and nitro stuff is what you mostly see..

Mamod Collector...the cabin doesn't seem to be "pilot house enough for the Victoria..but who knows-- a kit started and then changed - just a mold of a hull then home designed...

Any ideas on these "Model Shipwrights of London" I looked them up on line- but first hand knowledge is welcomed
