Stephen, the Minor 1 with the plug. What kind of date would you put on that one ?
I only ask as mine is very similar.

Plugs were only used in Minor 2s from around 1975-77/8 when the plug on it was replaced by a sight glass. MM1s reatined the plug.

Stepehn the Minor 1 went on to be the SP1 and still retained it plug up until its demise in 1985. It was always left off as a sort of economy measure I would think.

The wlp went on the MM1 from 1975 (according to the Freesteam MM1/SP1 reference thread by Spokesman), and remained until superceded by the SP1 in 1979, so that puts our examples between those dates Jon. Mine came boxed with a solid fuel burner so (again according to the reference thread) that puts mine post '76
