A Minor RestorationOk so its the same old question, many will know my preference but today I found time to bring a Minor back to life. Its something I only do in exceptional circumstances. The boiler was that tarnished it looked like copper, no paint was left on either the base or the boiler mount. I did not want a mirror polish so whent for a light buff finish. I couldn't bring myself to paint the flywheel. So which one looks better, the newly referbed one or the original finish?
I've cleaned the flux off now

In this case the latter. I have just taken delivery of a 1975 Minot this week, overflow plug type . . . I though about a total repaint but instead have given it a degrease and wipe with damp cloth and oil. Pics later. In this case with little or no pain, plus very poor metal finish Id give it a light going over, like it very much.
