A Kiwi lands in Leeds

...which for a flightless bird that's so timid it would NEVER buy a plane ticket, is quite an achievement.  Laughing

It's all down to the good offices of Dennis (ScorpionNZ - boilermaker extraordinaire) that this one has escaped it's native land and made it to the UK...

It's a Brimo of course, Mk 2 c1965.

I steamed it soon after arrival and the event can be seen in the video section!

I'd like to thank Dennis publicly for all the trouble he's taken in aquiring this for me - another star in the Freesteam membership!

I've just seen it on youtube Stephen...it pulls like a train!! Very Happy

It's not hugely powerful but it's well made. The flywheel is solid brass and the piston's grooved, presumably for oil retention - something I suggested could help in connection with your Doll problem Franco, remember? Clearly Brian Moss thought it a good idea!

I remember Stephen, and thanks again- but for now I'm content to look at it from a distance. Very Happy

Nice engine Stephen, love the layout, reminds me of the MEC1 or a Cyldon. A really different acquisition. Top marks.
