A few from my collectionHere are a few images of some of my favorite and new additions to my collection
Bowman M122 Twin Cylinder Engine.
This engine is one of the engines i have owned the longest, having been given to me by my dad, who brought it at a boot sale for a couple of quid properly about 20 years ago. I have recently resprayed the base (there was virtually no paint left) and painted the boiler mount. I have left the engine unit alone, however in due course i wish to replace the missing oiler cap, cylinder engine cover, plus find a suitable burner. I would also like to add a transfer, any ideas what it should be?
Gebruder Bing Vertical Candlestick Engine
Not sure exactly what the age is however i believe it to be anywhere between 1907-1918. Complete with burner and all fittings.
Large Marklin Piston Valve Slip Eccentric Vertical Engine
Purchased this from a certain online auction site recently, missing burner and chimney, however i managed to run it and went a treat in both directions, although there was a leak from the gauge glass. This stands approx 13 inches tall with a 6 inch square base. Age or type unknown
Weeden No.14 Horizontal Engine
Brought this from the USA, not steamed it yet but there is something about this design i really like
Fleischmann Steam Engine 125-4
Missing pressure gauge but other than that in excellent condition
Gebruder Bing "Bavaria" Horizontal Engine.
Has a wooden base, however the metal base plate has been replaced and the gauge glass has been blanked off i still fine this an enjoyable engine, plus it steams well!
Hope you like the small selection i picked.

well they all look very nice but the last three are the ones that as would look very nice beside my vertical engines

Yep - it's the middle one that really sets off the trio (I may be biased of course!).
They look really good all together, a nice little family.

a few moreHere are a few more engines from collection, this time three Stuart & Turner engines
First of all a Stuart No.7 one of the early ones without the full A frame & trunk guide, although it looks in good condition the poor thing needs rebuilding...
Stuart No.9 purchased a few years ago, never fully repainted, another job to finish!
Stuart 10H built by me with help from my dad about 9 years ago.

I think the ST fraternity will be wanting to see more of these!

Great set of engines you have there
I think a Stuart Turner will have to join the Newts engine shed at some point.
What to sell, to make room it, would be the hardest task

I thought i would show you a couple more photos of 3 more vertical engines i've recently purchased.
Here is a early bing - one of my favorites in the collection, not sure of the exact age but i am ashuming about 1902-09
Finally a couple of weeks ago I finally managed to get a Burnac Vulcan, which is complete and appears to have been hardly used
And this small vertical, really not sure of make, maybe a Falk?
And a photo of the selection of engines i recently exhibited at a local model show.

Many thanks for all your kind comments.
About a year ago a friend showed me a Bing candlestick, and at that stage my interests had slipped away from toyshop steam, however i decided i would buy one, which i did. As soon as it arrived, my interest in toyshop steam was rejuvenated and since i have tried to focus my collection to candlestick engines and so far have approx 30, with a couple more on the way. I've convinced myself that its ok to keep collecting this type of engine because they take up far less space, however they are only a small part of the collection so shortly something will have to give!
I was planning on exhibiting a wide selection of engines at that particular show however due to the organiser messing up with the table plan / space i was only given half the promised space.
