Smashing pics Si. They were tough men (and boys) that worked those cabless locos in the North Wales quarries. Makes you think doesn't it.

Indeed, they were certainly men in those days!
I'm still awaiting my first turn on a fully open cab loco, I've driven the scale locos at Pulborough which obviously don't have cabs but it doesn't have the same feel as a full size narrow gauge cabless loco.
