I have had a rubbish day in the college workshops today.

I don't normally go in on a Thursday, and I doubt I will given the IQ of the idiots who are also in there on a Thursday. One was particularly loud, and was very proud to have 'Oh hell!' his lathe. Who ever would want to employ such an idiot also needs to have an IQ test.

Then when I was machining my work I noticed that the ends of the work piece were not square to the sides. I clocked in the vice, it still wasn't square! Did it a second time and then it turned out the universal table was out of true. Spent an hour clocking that in and it still isn't perfect! Needless to say I will be moving to another machine tomorrow.

Walked back to the railway station, got on the train and it was packed. Apparently there had been an accident at Balcombe so the Brighton line is shut between Haywards Heath and Three Bridges. Anyone trying to get to Victoria from Brighton currently has to go to Barnham and change.

As if standing room only was bad enough when the train pulled into Durrington-on-Sea all the students got on from Worthing College, further cramming the train. They were very loud and were shoving past people and crowding in the exits.

Anyway, after the mad rush upon arrival at Barnham I am now sitting here typing this.

Seeing as today has been (and still is) a beautiful one, I have got my closest bedroom window open letting the cool air in with the birds twittering outside (also just been treated to three schools of starlings darting around and intertwining each other) and I am listening to The First Movement of Symphony No. 6 played by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Bliss...
