The latest engine to be smuggled past the ball & chain
I think its a S-50 mill engine and a S-500 Babcock boiler
This one was a bit of a impulse buy, its in great condition
I just need to get the pipe work sorted, then I'll be steaming her
Hope you guys enjoy the pics
Stuart S500 Babcock type boiler.
Temporily positioned on base board
And finaly my three Stuart engines

Great machine Mike, Id love to see this combination in steam, although not my sphere of collecting, I must say the detailing and precision of these machine makes them damn fine engines to own. Look forward to seeing it in operation soon, and y chance of some more detail pictures? _________________

they all look nice but is there a chance of me being able to buy 1 ??
well the other half would say NO.
so that would only leave me one option
to scratch build one from bar stock
but i think my skill level would need to improve a bit . |

All looks really great Mike.
That boiler is especially nice - any way of mounting and fixing things up so the engines could interchanged, using the one boiler to supply? Or maybe fitting a t-piece via a seperate valve to supply the other engines? I'm sure it's possible to use high temp plastic tube for temporary supply. _________________ Stephen

I'm hoping to rig the boiler up so I can run all the engines off the one boiler
Good idea about the high tempreture plastic tubing Steve _________________ Mike

If you do build one Den make sure you detail the entire build in photos and text for us
Now that would be a good thread _________________ Mike
