hi all,
for those of you who can remember, i stripped the thread on the level plug on my se3, well i have now soldered in a new insert and fitted a new level plug, not bad considering my lack of soldering skills. had it running earlier today and it seems pressure tight.
i,ve also been busy on the auction site that cannot be named and bought a mamod line shaft, press, hammer, grinder and polisher. unfortunatly the polisher is a different shade of green, not as bright as the rest. so i may be looking at selling that one and getting one that matches the others. or building another set up in that shade and have the se3 running one and the se2 running the other, altho that may be wishful thinking. off on my hols next week yippeee

Good on you Rich. I've got a number of re-soldering jobs building up. It's great to hear of other members successes - gives me courage!
There were differences in the shade of green used on the tools, and I agree with you entirely that it's nice to have them matching. There may be another member with a similar problem - is it worth posting a swap request topic in the wanted/for sale section? You'll need those pictures though.
Have a good holiday. _________________ Stephen
