How do I post images on the Forum?
Clicking the 'Add image to post' line below the posting window does not seem to do anything.

The easiest way is to use this web site http://www.postimage.org/ upload your image then copy the Forum BBCode: and then paste it in the post.
Hope this helps _________________ We dont do dancing bananas

I'm not sure that will work, Ted. Java is not the same as javascript.
John, perhaps I can try to help a little? The 'Add image to post' link should open a new window to allow you to upload an image, but as you have found, it requires javascript enabled.
You didn't say what browser you're using but hopefully it's Internet Explorer ver.6 or ver.7 (If not let me know what you have and I'll see if I can get the required information)
1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
2. Choose 'Internet Options'
3. Click on the 'Security' tab
4. Click on 'Custom Level'
5. Scroll down until you see section labled 'Scripting'
6. Under 'Active Scripting', select 'Enable' and click OK
Once enabled, (you may need to close all browser windows and then re-open the browser) you should be able to load direct from the link at the bottom of creating a new post, or from the postimage site as Ted (Joiner) suggests.
An alternative option is to create an account at http://www.photobucket.com , (there's a free option!), load your pictures there and just copy the link to the post.
Javascript not required with this option
Hope that helps - if not please post back again. |

Thanks Old Timer
Have enabled scripting as you suggested so will see what happens. I only have one engine but want to find out who its maker is as it has no name or marks on it.
Also have some images of a full size engine on a crane I found in Tasmania which may interest some on the forum.
Thanks again for the help

Well that worked OK, although if I want to post more than one image it means a lot of copy and pasting for the BBCodes.
Does the 'Add Image to Post' line below the reply input window work?
