Hello,
I have always been fascinated with steam, but I've not been involved until the other day. I was at a local estate sale and bought an old toy steam engine, and now I need help getting it running. It is a "Fleischmann 1st Nr.120/2". It has been well played with and I wouldn't even know who made it if it hadn't had what's left of the original box with it. It is missing the filler cap, which I assume also has some type of pressure relief valve on it. Where can I get a replacement? Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom, welcome. There are places where you can get a replacement, someone, on here may have a spare.

I would suggest in the first instance to post up some images of the engine so we can see what we are dealing with, we would also be able to help with any other issues the engine may have.

Let us know if you need to have some guidance on posting images. Most people use an external host to link from, like Photobucket for example.

Hi Tom firstly welcome to the forum and secondly mate try and get some pictures posted onto the forum so others can see and may be able to help you source these parts. The only other option and if you know what the missing parts look like then even have a look on the german ebay as Fleischmann parts come up a lot on there. Very Happy

Thanks, I'll try Ebay. If I figure out how to post photos I'll try to get one posted. It isn't much to look at compare to the beauties I've seen on here.

Try Photobucket, set up a free account. You can host up to 1000 images.

It allows to to link your images to a variety of other sites then using specific code.

Give it a try, can help you.
