Over the coming months, I aim to show you here my collection of engines and some of the rolling stock.
Tomorrow you will be treated to two Southern Railway King Arthur's!
For now though:
Bachmann Class 37 No. 37038 in DRS livery, fitted with a Bachmann 21 pin decoder
Bachmann Class 66 No. 66411 in DRS/Eddie Stobart livery 'Eddie the Engine'. Fitted with a Bachmann 21 pin decoder.
Bachmann BR 45XX 2-6-2T No. 4573. Fitted with a Gaugemaster decoder, but this needs replacing as it doesn't work very well! This engine will be for sale once fixed.
Hornby Class 73 No. 73107 in Fragonset livery 'Spitfire'. Currently awaiting repair after the discovery of a disconnected wire. Fitted with a Bachmann 8 pin decoder.
Hornby Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 7 in NCB blue 'Wimblebury'.
Hornby A3 No. 2505 in LNER Apple Green 'Cameronian'. Awaiting a new motion set due to a snapped rod.
Bachmann N No. 1404 in SR Olive Green.

The 66 is very nice, I think dad would kill me if I bought an EWS one for his trainset though! _________________ Cheers,

Two 'King Arthur's as promised:
Hornby No. 746 'Pendragon' in Bulleid's Malachite livery with sunshine lettering:
Here she is with what I call my test train, consisting of 7 Mk 1's in Western Region chocolate and cream (love that description!). It is a mix of Lima and Main-Line stock and includes a miniature buffet, corridor stock, luggage van and two brake van composite coaches. I hope to boost it to twelve coaches!
Pendragon has recently been fitted with a TCS DP2X-UK Decoder, and was on test. Unfortunately when you turn down the speed too quickly, the engine acts as if it has hit a brick wall! I shall need to alter the CV's on that one...
Next up is No. 751 'Etarre' in Olive Green. I bought this one DCC fitted:
My favourite Southern livery
The cab detail on new Hornby locos is simply stunning, that on the T9 is going to be better with the gauge glasses and gauges being represented in perspex!
I have a matching rake of Maunsell stock for my SR locos, and they are every bit as good as the locos these days:
Apologies for the quality of some of the pics...
If there are any terms you don't understand, do ask! |
