I've got my hands on a meths burner for my Wilesco D20. I'm not keen on fuel tablets or gel as the burner tray on the D20 is so narrow just hoping now that my replacement burner will fit when it arrives (fingers crossed).

Hi shep41 were did you buy your replacement burner from as I know Forest Classics do a great selection of meths burners. I find that Wilesco don't seem to make their burners wide enough. But saying this I have no problems steaming my D14 with gel.
Let us know how the new burner is.  Very Happy

Id be interested to see this burner tray, as you say the D20, like all Wilesco engines, has a very narrow burner try holder. Ive always found that wax solid fuel tablets in my D20 give a good run of around 15-20 minutes.

Hi guys, I bought it off ebay so I'll let you know when it arrives. I've tried two lots of tablets and one lot of gel and my only problems with gel is putting it in the narrow tray and also you can't see the flame but I am new to this so trying all fuel options except gas.

Sorry Kevin I have tried to post a photo but no luck. It is brass and the same size as solid fuel burner.

To post images to the forum, either link form a host such as Photobucket, or attach using the "attach' function which sits directly below the white dialogue box.

Ive used it here to attach this image
