Hi!
I'm fairly new to all this, although I have owned a few Mamod models over my 26 years on the planet. I'm currently returning to the fray, and noted the relative state of flux that Mamod is currently in. Can anyone help me with who makes what in terms of rail locomotives nowadays-and which are 'best' in your opinions.
Cheers,
Steve |

Welcome to the forum.
Depends which scale/gauge combination you're going for, if SM32 (16mm to the foot 32mm gauge, or 45mm if you are inclined to the wider gauge) this is pretty close to the scale of Mamod traction engines, then the best first time loco suppliers are Roundhouse ( www.roundhouse-eng.com ) or Accucraft ( www.track-shack.com ). But there are many more, this is a good page of links www.16mm.org.uk/16mmlink.htm (suppliers about 1/2 way down) and that whole website ( www.16mm.org.uk ) is a very good introduction to the scale. _________________ Cheers,
